Kathryn B. Freeland is founder and former chief executive officer of RGII Technologies Inc., an information technology, systems integration, and engineering solutions company that served nine presidential cabinet agencies of the federal government. Freeland successfully built and sold RGII to Computer Horizons Corp. in 2003. After fulfilling a three-year transition period with Computer Horizons, she retired in 2006.
As the CEO of RGII, Freeland was directly responsible for developing goals, operating plans, and policies for the corporation and implementing board-approved plans. She directed the company with a strategic business plan designed to optimize profits and return on invested capital. During her tenure as CEO, Freeland played a vital role in business development, customer satisfaction, financial stability, and employee relations. During that time, RGII more than tripled in size, with revenue growing 4,800% during an 11-year period.
Prior to founding RGII, Mrs. Freeland spent more than seven years supporting various federal government agencies in the areas of financial, information, and program management support. Freeland is a visionary leader who has made her mark in the business community.
Freeland now serves as the founder and chief executive officer of Freeland and Associates LLC (www.freelandassociatesllc.com), a consulting services firm that partners with businesses in the areas of executive advisory services, interim executive support, strategic planning/mapping, market analysis/penetration, financial/accounting management, business integration/transition, and business development.
Freeland remains active in several local, regional, and national organizations. Her current and previous board appointments include the following:

- Established the R. Gregory and Kathryn B. Freeland Scholarship at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, supporting students majoring in the areas of information technology or computer engineering within the Meyerhoff Scholars Program

Freeland holds a master’s degree in business administration with a concentration in financial management from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Freeland currently resides in Pasadena, Maryland, with her husband of 24 years, R. Gregory Freeland, president of FI Holdings Inc., and their twin daughters, Brya Simone and Brynn Nicole. They are also the proud parents of one deceased son, Richard Gregory II, for whom RGII Technologies Inc. was named.
